to Host Be Internet Awesome Family Workshop Sponsored by Google

 

WHAT:

On Friday, April 3, 2020 Spencer School PTA will host a workshop for parents to explore digital safety and address concerns surrounding how to raise children in a connected world. The event will feature discussion-based, parent-to-parent discussions on topics like password security and safe websites.

Spencer School PTA is one of 200 local PTAs nationwide selected to receive a PTA Connected Be Internet Awesome grant from National PTA and Google. Part of National PTA’s new PTA Connected initiative, Google’s Be Internet Awesome workshop gives parents access to resources, answers to questions about online safety and digital citizenship, information to help facilitate discussions at home, and the tools to create an action plan for the future. All materials provided at the Be Internet Awesome workshop will be available in English and Spanish.

Friday, April 3, 2020 from 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM (Refreshments served beginning at 6:45 PM)

Spencer School Gym and Cafeteria located at 207 Westfield St, Middletown, CT 06457

 WHO:

Spencer School Faculy and staff, PTA leaders, Local School Board official, Middletown High School students, Wesleyan College students and more to attend
